The command line interface of SSF has the following capabilities:

CLI access is based on privileges.

Number of simultaneous CLI sessions for a single user to access the system can be
configured.

Support for HPI-B MIB for hardware platform management.

XML Interface

SSF is a management layer framework to manage, operate, and configure the networked
devices. SSF comprises the following components:

SSF Agents - Provides an interface between the managed system and the external
management entities designed by the end user. SSF provides agents, such as XML agent
and CLI agent.

SSF Framework - Provides an insulation layer between the external management protocols
and the underlying managed entities, such as hardware and applications.

SSF Objects - Also called as Managed objects (MOs) are the entities in the system that can
be configured and managed using SSF. For example: shelf, slot, SRstackware and
ViewCheck.

Allow you to move the cursor within the current command line

Up and Down arrow

Allow you to browse through a command history

BACKSPACE

Enables you to remove the character towards left

TAB

Completes the keyword being entered automatically

Provides you context help

<cr>

Carriage return. System displays this command when you
provide all mandatory arguments of a particular CLI command.
It represents the command syntax completion.
