Installing CentOS on Connected PC
This section describes installing CentOS on external PC.
1. Install CentOS from either of the locations mentioned in the above section and select
Desktop option.
Note: Do not upgrade the Linux installation using any automatic upgrade tool (for
example, yum) after installation. Any such upgrade can lead to failure of installation of SSF
Core. You may perform such upgrade after the installation of SSF. For CentOS installation,
select “Desktop-Gnome” option, when prompted for the type of install option as shown in
the figure below. Any other selection can result into some dependency issues, which can
lead to failure of smooth installation.
