Security Settings Overview

Many security settings are dependent on Screen lock settings, etc. The following table outlines the
settings available through the Security settings menu:

Security Setting

Description

SD Card

Set your phone to encrypt the data each time it is added to the SD card
inserted in your phone. Select Encrypt all files or Encrypt new files only.

Make passwords visible

Make visible the password as you type.

Device administrators

View or turn off device administrators.

Unknown sources

Allow or deny installation of apps from sources other than the Google
Play store app.

Storage type

View the supported credentials storage type.

Trusted credentials

Display trusted CA certificates.

Install from SD card

Install encrypted certificates from the SD card.

Clear credentials

Clear all the credentials on your phone.

Trust agents

Manage trust agents for features like Smart Lock.

Screen pinning

Turn on this function to keep your current screen in view on your phone.
