Creating a Bootable Diskette

The upgrade process requires you to boot the server from the diskette drive.
You may need to redefine the boot sequence to set the diskette drive as the
first priority boot device.

1.

Use a DOS or Windows 95 system to create the diskette.

2.

Insert a diskette in drive A.

3.

At the C:\ prompt, for an unformatted diskette, type:

format a:/s

or, for a formatted diskette, type:

sys a:

Creating the BIOS Upgrade Diskette

The BIOS upgrade file is a compressed self-extracting archive that contains
the files you need to upgrade the BIOS.

1.

Copy the BIOS upgrade file to a temporary directory on your hard
disk.

2.

From the C:\ prompt, change to the temporary directory.

3.

To extract the file, type the name of the BIOS upgrade file, for
example:

10006BI1.EXE

4.
