Technical information

This appendix contains information that might be useful when
installing your Matrox Meteor-II /Multi-Channel board.

Global information

Operating system: See your software manual for supported
versions of Windows.

System requirements: A computer with a PCI bus and a
Pentium processor or equivalent.

Some older systems use a core logic chipset (interfaces PCI
with Host memory) that has limited throughput capabilities.
Matrox Meteor-II might not be able to attain full
functionality on such systems. We recommend systems with
newer PCI chipsets, such as the Intel 430HX, 430VX, 430TX,
440FX, 440LX, or 440BX. If you need more specific
information regarding potential problems, refer to Appendix
A - Troubleshooting.
