9 Maintaining and Updating
Your mailing system and its components need very little maintenance.
However, periodically you need to clean the machine and replace tape,
moistener fluid and printing supplies. These routine maintenance
procedures are presented in this chapter.
To clean the outside of your machine, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do
not use harsh chemical cleaners. If necessary, clean the display screen
on the IntelliLink Control Center™ with a mild glass cleaner and soft
cloth.

* Pitney Bowes recommends E-Z Seal ® Sealing Solution for optimal
sealing performance, however, you may use water. To order E-Z Seal ® see
11 - Supplies and Options.
1. Open the main cover.
2. Remove the flap moistener bottle.
3. Refill the bottle with E-Z Seal ® or replace the
bottle with E-Z Seal cartridges.*
4. Return the bottle to its original position and
close the cover.
