Symptom

Cause

Correction

Cannot access the
Internet.

The cellular phone
connection cable is not
correct.

Check to make sure that the
cellular phone connection
cable is properly attached.

The cellular phone
service signals are weak.

Relocate cellular phone to
access stronger phone
service signals.

The communications set-
tings are incorrect.

Carry out correct setting.

The following message is
displayed:

“NOT ENOUGH
BATTERY POWER.
USB devices can not be
used. Because PDAs
battery power is low.”

The battery power is too
low to use USB devices.

Charge the battery or
connect the AC adapter.

The following message is
displayed:

“TOO MUCH USB
CONNECTION.
Connecting USB devices
are too much.”

The total power
consumption of
connected USB devices
is too large.

The USB port supports a
USB device that outputs a
maximum of 500mA. Check
the manufacturer’s
documentation to confirm
that the connected USB
device does not exceed this
requirement.

The following message is
displayed:

“USB OVER CURRENT
DETECT USB device is
turned off. Please
disconnect USB device.”

The total power
consumption of
connected USB devices
is too large.

The USB port supports a
USB device that outputs a
maximum of 500mA. Check
the manufacturer’s
documentation to confirm
that the connected USB
device does not exceed this
requirement.

To enable the USB port
again, either turn off your
Toshiba Pocket PC e830
power or push the Reset
Button (see "Resetting" on
page 201)
