Aligning the screen

Periodically, your touch display may not respond accurately to stylus
taps; when this occurs, it is usually necessary to align the screen.
For more information about touch screen correction, see "Initial
setup and touch screen correction" on page 41.
When aligning the touch screen, tap the target firmly and accurately.

ClearType

ClearType smooths the edges of screen fonts, allowing for easier
reading of the text in programs that support ClearType. Tap the
ClearType tab, then check Enable ClearType. You must reset your
Toshiba Pocket PC e830 before changes take effect. For more infor-
mation about resetting, see "Resetting" on page 201.

Changing the Text Size

To increase readability or see more content by adjusting the size of
text in programs that support it, tap the Text Size tab, and then use
the slider to make text larger or smaller.

Adjusting Screen light levels

You can set the screen brightness level to allow for better screen viewing.
You can also set the time that elapses until the Screen light turns off auto-
matically after the last operation to conserve battery power.

If the input panel blocks the text box while in Landscape
mode (see "Customizing settings" on page 61), change
the view to Portrait mode.

When you enable ClearType, the color displayed on the
screen is slightly altered.
