Alarm functions

General Information

Your phone is equipped with the following alarm triggers:

SOS key to manually trigger an alarm (

"Triggering an alarm manually"

, page

70

)

Automatic, configurable man-down alarm

Automatic, configurable no-movement alarm

Automatic, configurable escape alarm

The alarm triggers can be configured as a Redkey function or used as a direct alarm trigger for
an external alarm system. The phone sends a separate alarm message for each alarm trigger,
regardless of whether the alarm trigger is configured as Redkey function or as part of an exter-
nal alarm system.

The alarm functions depend on the alarming concept. Ask your system administrator which
functions you have available in your alarming concept.

Operation without alarm system

If the alarms are configured as Redkey functions, one alarm message is sent to the system for
the SOS key (configured by your system administrator as Redkey 1) and the other alarm mes-
sage for the sensor alarm (configured by your system administrator as Redkey 2).

Operation with an alarm system

If the phone is used as part of an alarm system, a separate alarm message is sent to the alarm
system for each alarm trigger.

The phone has the function of an alarm terminal and therefore is only one component within
an alarming concept. The response to a triggered alarm depends on the configuration and rat-
ing of the alarm concept, and the configuration of the alarm functions must always be made
within the context of the alarming concept.

To use the phone in the context of an alarm system you have to activate the

Alarm server mode

.

Notes:

• The alarm triggers can be configured as a Redkey funtion or with a function code (see chapter

"Formu-

lating Functions"

, page

60

).

• A Redkey function is configured by your system administrator. By pressing the SOS key you can trigger

an alarm on a connected alarm system.
