The purpose of this manual is to provide the necessary information for proper installation, operation and maintenance of the

MAXIBOX PLUS series tanks for lifting stations. The contents of this manual concern the standard product, as described in the sale
documents. Special versions may be supplied with supplementary instructions leaflets. Please refer to the sale contract for any
modifications or special version characteristics. Always specify the exact type of tank and relative code when requesting our Sales and

Service Department for technical information or spare parts. For any instructions, situations and events not covered in this manual or
in the sales documentation, please contact the nearest Technical Assistance Centre.

Read this manual before installing and using the product.

Improper use may cause personal injury and/or damage to property, and invalidate the warranty.

Refer to the specific manuals for information concerning the station, electric pumps, any electrical panels

and the other station components.

The Maxibox Plus range comprises tanks for lifting stations designed to pump water from buildings or land below the level of the

sewage network. They comprise a tank, relative internal piping and lifting kit.
The tank must be installed buried outside buildings. The Maxibox Plus range of tanks comply with EN 12050-1 Annex Z.

Observe the following rules to the letter to reduce the risks relative to the installation, maintenance and operation of the tank.

Before working on the tank, make sure that all the connections (even those that are potential-free) are

voltage-free.

Work on the tank must be performed by skilled and qualified personnel only. Use suitable equipment and
protection devices. Observe the accident prevention regulations in force. Always refer to current local and/or

national regulations, legislation and bylaws governing occupational health and safety in closed areas.
Never work alone. When working inside the tank, make sure it contains no toxic and/or harmful gas. Observe
local and/or national regulations, legislation and bylaws governing installations in explosive areas.

Welding, cutting, melting, grinding or similar operations and the use of flames and heat sources and the like
generate fire and/or explosion risks. For this type of operation, carefully remove potentially explosive powders
and gas and/or inflammable material present in the work and surrounding areas. Make sure the area is

sufficiently ventilated (explosion hazard).
Staff working in sewers must be vaccinated against any illnesses that they may contract. Make sure there is a
first-aid kit near the installation. Make sure the tank lifting system works correctly. Make sure there is an

emergency exit. Make sure suitable protection barriers are placed around the work area.
Secure the cover before leaving the installation area.

After installation and the relative hydraulic and electric connections of the pumps, the Maxibox Plus range of tanks are used to
collect and pump non-faecal wastewater (grey water) and faecal wastewater (black water) from collection points in buildings and

sites lying underneath the level of the public / private sewer to which they are connected.

The tank is supplied complete with cover, taps and internal piping, grommets and inlet gasket. The electric pumps, electrical panel,

level adjusters, chains and shackles and any other accessories must be ordered separately.

Do not use the tank to pump hazardous, flammable and/or explosive liquids.

Do not use the tank to pump water containing substances and materials that could impair the correct
performance of the station, the electric pumps of the electrical panel, if fitted, and other station
components (consult the relative instructions manual).

Preferably install a degreasing bath upline from the tank when pumping wastewater containing greasy
material.

Maximum operating pressure depends on the model of pumps installed. Consult the pump documentation for further information.
