5. To exclude raw data files from the archive (suggested if you are archiving Batches) select

Exclude raw data files.

6. Click Archive. The command executes. When complete, an Archive Successful dialog

box opens. To delete a partial batch, open the Admin page, then click the Archive tab.
Clear the Keep data after archive box. Click Archive to delete the partial batch.

Backing Up xPONENT Data and Settings

1. Click Backup. A Warning dialog box displays.

2. Click OK to continue with the backup. A progress bar displays.

NOTE: The backup file outputs by default to C:\Documents and Settings\All

Users\Documents\Backup\xPONENT.zip.

3. When the backup is complete, a System Backup dialog box opens.

Adding a Previously Archived File Back into the Database

1. In the File Type list, click the file type you want to import.

2. Click Browse and navigate to the archived file location if you previously changed the

location in the Archive Folder box.

3. Click Import. The Import Complete dialog box opens after the files have imported. All

archived files of the type selected in the File Type list will now display in the list below the
Archive Folder box, and be available for use with xPONENT.

4. Click OK

Restoring the System Using a Backup File

1. Click Restore. A Warning dialog box displays.

CAUTION:

If you click Restore, all data and settings are overwritten

2. Click OK to continue restoring the system. The File dialog box opens. The most recent

backup file displays in the File Name box. To use a different backup file, click Browse to
navigate to a different file.

3. Click OK to start the restore. A progress bar displays, followed by a Warning dialog box

stating that xPONENT needs to be restarted.

4. Click OK to restart xPONENT. (You must restart xPONENT after the restore task is

complete.)

Licensing Tab

Contact Luminex Technical Support to upgrade xPONENT for MAGPIX or to obtain a new
license.

NOTE: You must restart the computer for the new license to take effect.
