DIRECTION (D) switch

Connect a single-pole, single-throw DIRECTION switch
between the (D) and COMMON (E1) terminals as shown in
Figure 21 below. Opening the switch will cause the motor
to rotate in the forward direction; closing the switch will
reverse motor rotation.

The drive will decelerate the motor to a stop, (at the DECEL
trimpot setting), before reversing, so there is no need to
wait for the motor to coast to a stop before changing
direction.
