1 Select Energy Level
Press the Select Energy arrows up or down to select the desired energy level. These buttons are
located on the front panel of the unit.
The following are the default energy selections:
• Adult - 120 joules
• Pediatric- 50 joules
• Neonate - 50 joules
Note: Neonatal and pediatric defibrillator energy levels should be selected based on site-
specific protocols.
The selected energy level is shown on the display.
2 Charge Defibrillator
Press the Charge button on the front panel.
To increase or decrease the selected energy after you have pressed the Charge button, use the
defibrillator Select Energy arrows on the front panel.
Caution Changing the selected energy while the unit is charging or charged causes the defibrillator to
disarm itself. Press the CHARGE button again to charge the unit to the newly selected energy
level.
