8.1 Diagnosis

Detailed information can be found in the operating instructions for the basic device (BU0500).

Status information
It is possible to access status information by means of the ParameterBox, SimpleBox or via a field bus. This
information is not provided on a fail-safe basis, but rather only for information purposes!
The status of the "safe pulse block" and the digital inputs and outputs can be accessed via the information
parameters and if necessary by means of the status word with communication via a field bus (See Section 4
"Parameterisation"
).

In order to be able to query the reaction of the "safe pulse block", the digital output, a Bus Out bit or a free bit
of the status word (Bit 10 or Bit 13) must be assigned function 39 (STO inactive). The status of this bit can be
read out via the parameters P711 (digital output), P741 [-01] (status word) or P741 [-05] (Bus Out bits) or can
be transferred via the bus protocol.

8.2 Faults

Detailed information can be found in the operating instructions for the basic device (BU0500).

8.2.1

Table of possible error messages

The fault messages to be assigned to functional safety are listed in the following table.

Safety circuit

While the frequency inverter was enabled, the Safe pulse
block
safety circuit was triggered.

8.2.2

Error display

ControlBox / SimpleBox: The 4-digit, 7 segment display of these boxes indicates a fault with its number and
the prefix "E". If the cause of the error is no longer present, the error display flashes and the error can be
acknowledged with the OK key.
ParameterBox: The error messages are shown in plain text.

8.2.3

Error memory

The current error is saved in parameter P700 and the last five error messages are saved in parameter P701 [-
01]…[-05]. Further information on inverter status at the time the error occurred are stored in parameters P702
to P706 / P799. More detailed information can be found in the manual BU 0500 GB.
