Example 3: Workflow for simultaneously creating a pair with two S-VOLs and another with
one S-VOL

This example shows how to simultaneously create two pairs: one pair with two S-VOLs and the
other with one S-VOL. You do this by creating two pairs, each having two S-VOLs, and then
removing an S-VOL from the second pair.

The following figure illustrates how to simultaneously create one pair with two S-VOLs and another
pair with one S-VOL.

Use the following workflow to create the two pairs:

1.

Open the Select Pair Configuration window of the Create Pairs wizard.

For Number of Secondary Volumes, select 2 and then click Next.

The storage system operates on the assumption that you are creating two pairs, each having
two S-VOLs.
