Reviewing pair, license information

You can check the current state of your pairs and licensed capacity. Do this using the Information
dialog box.
1.

In the RWC, click Actions > Local Replications > BC Z/FC Z > Pair Operation.

2.

Complete the following:

Right-click the volume list, in any location.

2.

From the menu, select Information.
The Information dialog box opens.

Field descriptions are provided in the following table.

Description

Field

Shows the number of BC Z pairs/and the total number of pair tables for BC and BC
Z. For example: 12/12.

BC Z pair(s)

Notes:

The maximum number of pairs allowed in one storage system is 16,384, including
migration plans and relationships. For example, if a storage system contains FS
or SS pairs, migration plans of Auto LUN, and relationships of Compatible
FlashCopy and Compatible FlashCopy SE, the maximum number of pairs allowed
for BC Z would be 16,384 minus these.

Volume size also limits the number of pairs. For more information, see

“Planning

number of pairs” (page 15)

The number total number of reserved volumes for BC and BC Z.
