You can share Cnt Ac-J Z volumes with BC Z volumes.
•
You can share BC Z P-VOLs with Cnt Ac-J Z P-VOLs and S-VOLs.
•
You cannot share BC Z S-VOLs with Cnt Ac-J Z S-VOLs.
•
You cannot share BC Z pair volumes with Cnt Ac-J Z journal volumes.
•
You cannot perform the Quick Restore operation on the BC Z pair when the Cnt Ac-J Z pair
is suspended.
•
You can use PPRC to query pair status for BC Z and Cnt Ac-J Z shared volumes. The storage
system reports the BC Z status, but does not report the Cnt Ac-J Z status. Use BCM to obtain
Cnt Ac-J Z’s pair status.
•
You can share BC volumes with Cnt Ac-J volumes in a 3 Cnt Ac-J data center configuration.

You can share BC Z volumes with Cnt Ac-J Z volumes in 3 DC multi-target configurations. You can
share the BC Z P-VOL and S-VOLs with Cnt Ac-J Z volumes, as shown in the following figure.
