If a failure occurs in the Cnt Ac-S system (P-VOL and S-VOL), business is resumed using the
Cnt Ac-J S-VOL. When the failure is corrected, business tasks are transferred back to the
primary site.

Ac-S S-VOL.

3DC multi-target can be used in configurations with multiple primary and secondary systems.
However, delta resync configurations are not supported in configurations with multiple primary
and secondary systems.
Procedure for setting up 3DC multi-target
Procedure 40 To set up a 3DC multi-target configuration
1. Install and set up Cnt Ac-S and Cnt Ac-J on the required systems.
2. Create a Cnt Ac-S pair on the primary system. See the HP XP P9000 Continuous Access
Synchronous User Guide for instructions.
3. When Cnt Ac-S pair status is PAIR, create the Cnt Ac-J pair on the primary system. The mirror
ID must be set between 1 and 3.
Delta resync configuration
In a Cnt Ac-J delta resync configuration, you create a second Cnt Ac-J pair in a 3DC multi-target.
The pair is created using the Cnt Ac-S secondary volume (S-VOL) and the Cnt Ac-J S-VOL.
