Description

Item

: PSUS

This pair is not synchronized, because the user has split this pair (Pairsplit-r), because the user
has released this pair from the RCU (Pairsplit-S) or because a failover occurred at the storage
system.

: PSUE

This pair is not synchronized, because the MCU has suspended the ESAM pair due to an error
condition.

: SSWS

This pair is not synchronized, because a failover occurs. SSWS is the status only for S-VOLs.
S-VOLs in SSWS status accept I/Os from the host.

: PDUB

This pair consists of LUSE volumes. The status of the pair is COPY or PAIR, however, the status
of one or more LDEVs in the LUSE volumes is SMPL or PSUE.

Serial number of the paired storage system.

S/N(LDKC)

SSID of the paired storage system, or Path group ID that you entered when registering the RCU.

ID

The information about the path from the host to the paired volume appears as port number, the
host group number, and LUN (LDKC:CU:LDEV), separated by hyphens.

Paired VOL

The same symbols as in the VOL column might appear at the end of the LDEV number.

Pair type. ESAM indicates the volume is an ESAM volume.

Type

The fence level determines the conditions under which the MCU will fence, that is, rejecting the
write operations to the P-VOL. Never appears for an ESAM pair and the P-VOL will not be fenced.

Fence

The unit of measurement used for storing differential data (by cylinder, track, or auto).

Diff

Displays nothing for ESAM volumes.

CTG

During the copy process, Sync displays percentage of completion of the copy operation. During
the split volume process, Sync displays the concordance ratio of the specified local volume.

Sync Rate

A quorum disk ID assigned to the ESAM pair.

Quorum Disk ID

Indicates which volume is online (i.e., whether P-VOL or S-VOL accepts host I/O operations).

Table 12 (page 67)

indicates the display of the VOL Access column and how to determine which

is the online volume.

VOL Access

The number and name of the CLPR that the local volume belongs to. For further information on
CLPR, see HP P9000 Cache Partition User Guide.
