Setting up spreadsheets for editing in LUN Manager

Use this procedure to set up the new configuration definition area in the spreadsheet, the area of
the spreadsheet that you can edit. The new configuration definition area is the area you can edit
in the spreadsheet and consists of the 11th through 17th columns (columns K through Q) in the
spreadsheet.

The exported spreadsheet contains 10 columns (columns A through J). The current configuration
definition area consists of the 1st through 7th columns (columns A through G) in the spreadsheet.
The 8th through 10th columns (columns H through J) in the spreadsheet remain blank.

The following figure shows a spreadsheet with the current configuration definition area displayed
on the left of the spreadsheet and the new configuration definition area on the right.

1.

Launch a spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft Excel, and open the spreadsheet.

2.

Starting at the 1st column (column A), select and copy the fields in the current configuration
definition area of the spreadsheet.

Note: Do not select the declaration line (the first row).

3.

Starting at the 11th column (column K), paste the copied fields in the right side of the
spreadsheet. The new configuration definition area is created.

Note: Any configuration definitions you omit from the copy area and do not paste in the new
configuration definition area are deleted when you apply the changes to the spreadsheet. For
more information about applying changes, see

“Applying changes to CFL-based spreadsheets

in LUN Manager” (page 31)

4.

Add the word Change to the declaration row in the third column (Column C).
