Function tags in spreadsheets in Volume Retention

Each spreadsheet has its own operations or functions and parameters. The function tags contained
within a spreadsheet are classified according to the function. Function tags describe the type of
function and the settings.

Function tag definitions are applied to the storage system one at a time in the order they appear
in the spreadsheet. Comments and definitions written in the same row as the function tag are
ignored.

You must enter at least one function tags in the spreadsheet. Enter function tags beginning with
the first column in the row (column A). In the first column, enter the tag without space.

Definitions used in spreadsheet formats in Volume Retention

Definitions are the parameters you enter when editing the current configuration definition area in
spreadsheets. A definition consists of the index and the parameter. The index is fixed for each
function tag.

Importing and validating CFL-based spreadsheets in Volume Retention

Use this procedure to import the spreadsheet back into CFL and validate it.

Importing CFL-based spreadsheets does the following:

Accepts the spreadsheet.

Verifies the formats of the function tags.

Validates the contents.

Checks the function tags in the current configuration definition area. If errors are not detected,
the spreadsheet changes to “Ready” status. If errors are detected, the spreadsheet changes
to “Error” status and the error messages are displayed in the Error Information list.

For more information about this list, see
