Do the following:

Change the variables to values appropriate for your storage system deployment.

Use the spreadsheet format to edit the configuration settings.

For more information about CFL-based spreadsheet formats, see

“Function tags in

spreadsheets in Volume Retention” (page 64)

.

Change the function tags and access attributes.

Note: You can omit the [Serial Number] and [LDKC] function tag parameters, but
the [Attribute] function tag parameter is required.

For [Serial Number], specify the serial number of the storage system.

For [LDKC], specify the LDKC (00) which you want to set access attributes.

Note: If you do not specify an LDKC, the default value (00) is used.

For [Attribute], specify the CU, LDEV, and Attribute (access). LDEV range: 1 to
65,280. Write CU and LDEV in one or two hexadecimal digits. Specify the following for
Attribute: Read/Write, Read Only, Protect.

Variables

First row—declaration line

Declaration line. Do not alter this row.

#!

Indicates that the RMI version number follows. Cannot be changed. Followed by a space.

Version

RMI version followed by a comma with no space.

Version number

“VR” for Volume Retention followed by a comma with no space.

Program product

Second row

[Serial Number], [LDKC], [Attribute]

Function tag

Indicates the function tags in the above order, enclosed in brackets.

Row following function tag

System configuration data.
