Function tags in spreadsheets in LUN Manager

Each spreadsheet has its own operations or functions and parameters. The function tags contained
within a spreadsheet are classified according to the function. Function tags describe the type of
function and the settings.

Function tag definitions are applied to the storage system one at a time in the order they appear
in the spreadsheet. Comments and definitions written in the same row as the function tag are
ignored.

Definitions in earlier function tags can affect function tags that appear later in the spreadsheet. For
example, if you delete a host group in the [HostGroup] function tag, the path definitions related
to the deleted host group are also deleted. If you then write definitions for the deleted path in the
[LUN]

or [WWN] function tag, which appear later in the spreadsheet, an error occurs.

You must enter at least one function tags in the spreadsheet. Enter function tags beginning with
the first column in the row (column A). In the first column, enter the tag without space.

The row after the function tag is a commented heading row that shows the required values. In the
following example, Security Switch after the hash symbol (#) is the heading, separated by
a comma.

[Port]

#Port, Security Switch

Adhere to the following rules when working with function tags:

Do not delete the [Port] and [LDEV] function tags. You must enter a new definition for
these functions. If you delete these functions, an error is generated.

Add the symbols #$ at the beginning of lines that contain existing settings. Do not change
comment rows.

Example:

[LUN]

#Port, Group Id, LunId, Ldev (items to be changed)
#$1C,0,1,1,1,1 (existing settings row)

Definitions are the parameters you enter when editing the new configuration definition area in
spreadsheets. A definition consists of the index and the parameter. The index is fixed for each
function tag.

The following figure shows a sample spreadsheet showing the index, parameter and the new
configuration definition area, which is the editable area of the spreadsheet:

Editing CFL-based spreadsheets in LUN Manager

The following is a list of best practices when working with definitions:

Edit in the new configuration definition area of the spreadsheet.

Change current settings by entering a different parameter. The format must be the same as
the existing setting.

Change definitions using the same definition format in the new configuration definition area
that is used in the current configuration definition area.
