Removing and Installing a Memory Module

1

Turn off the computer and all peripheral devices.

2

Disconnect the power cord and all cables from the computer.

3

If installed, remove the battery pack. See “To remove the battery pack” of
the “Connecting a Power Source” section in the printed Quick Start guide.

4

Wait for the computer to cool down.

5

Use an appropriate screwdriver to loosen and remove the five screws at the
bottom of the computer.

6

Turn the computer over so you are looking at the keyboard.

7

Place your fingers behind the last row of keys.

8

Gently lift the keyboard up and turn it over the touch pad. Do not detach the
cable when lifting the keyboard.

The interior of the computer becomes extremely hot during operation. Wait at least
one hour for the computer to cool down before you remove the screws.

To avoid damaging the computer, do not remove or loosen any other screws.
