3.5 OUTRIGGER CYLINDER REMOVAL

NOTE: Refer to Figure 3-8., Outrigger Cylinder Removal -

(Sheet 1 of 2) and Figure 3-9., Outrigger Cylinder
Removal - (Sheet 2 of 2).

Shut off flow of hydraulic oil before attempting to
remove any outrigger cylinder.

Removal:

A )

1.

Remove the Cover (1) by removing the four Bolts (2)
and Lockwashers (3).

B )

2.

Disconnect all hydraulic hoses and wires attached to
the Valve Assembly (7) and Limit Switch (9).

3.

Remove the Valve Assembly, Limit Switch Bracket
(8) and Limit Switch from the top of Outrigger Cylin-
der (4) by removing the four Bolts (5) and Lock-
washers (6)

NOTE: Support cylinder rod to prevent rod extension and

consequential oil spillage.

After "Removal Step #3," the frame must be elevated
greater than the length of the stowed outrigger cylin-
der to remove the cylinder.

C )

4.

Remove the Plate (12) and Gasket (13) by removing
the four Bolts (10) and Lockwashers (11).

5.

Secure the Outrigger Cylinder (16). Remove the four
Bolts (14) and Lockwashers (15) attaching the cylin-
der to the frame.

D )

6.

Carefully lower the Cylinder out of the frame.
