3.8 PLATFORM MANUAL DESCENT CONTROL
VALVE
The platform manual descent control valve is provided to allow
ground personnel to lower the platform in event that the platform
operator cannot lower the platform once elevated, for reasons
such as; machine-complete loss of power, operator is incapaci-
tated, etc.
Activating the Manual Descent Valve
To activate the manual descent valve, remove the hood and lift the
hood off (For Hood Removal, See page 3-8, 3.9), locate the valve,
then operate per instructions shown below;

PUSH-IN the RED BUT-
TON on the end of the
valve TO LOWER the
platform.
RELEASE the RED BUT-
TON TO STOP platform
descent if necessary,
before platform is fully
lowered.
