User Defined Data Formats
The following scan tasks now support the creation of user defined
data formats. Data formats are used to specify the format that a field
value is in when read from a controller. This field value is then
converted into something suitable for the server to use. Examples of
standard data formats are IEEEFP and U4096.

Application Development
The following compilers have been qualified for use with this release
of ProcessLogix:
•
Microsoft Visual C++ v6.0 (with Service Pack 4)*+
•
Microsoft Visual Basic v6.0 (with Service Pack 4)
•
Compaq Visual Fortran v6.1 (with Patch A)+
*The Microsoft Platform SDK is also required when developing C/C++
programs. This can be obtained from Microsoft’s web site:

+The following patch to the Fortran runtime library is required when
linking statically with the ProcessLogix libraries:
