The user must make certain that a program has not been entered into the Mini–
PLC–2/15 Processor’s memory. Only one rung at a time should be in memory
for the start–up procedures. To clear the Processor’s memory, connect the
Industrial Terminal to the Mini–PLC–2/15 Processor and perform the following
steps. Read and understand the Industrial Terminal System User’s Manual,
Publication 1770–805 before proceeding.

1.

Install the keyboard and the PLC–2 Family Keytop Overlay on the 1770–
T3 Industrial Terminal. Connect the Industrial Terminal to the Processor.

2.

Turn the Mode Select Switch on the Processor to the PROG position.

3.

Apply proper AC power to the Controller’s Power Supply.

4.

Turn the Industrial terminal power switch ON.

5.

After the MODE SELECTION message is displayed on the screen, press
[1][1] on the keyboard.

6.

Press [SEARCH] [^] on the keyboard.

7.

Regardless of what is displayed, press [CLEAR MEMORY][9][9] on the
keyboard.

A “CLEARING MEMORY” message will be displayed on the third line from
the bottom while memory is being cleared. The END statement will appear on
the screen when memory has been cleared.

NOTE: Power is to be connected to the System Power Supply and most I/O
devices. Do not apply power to any device causing machine motion.
