Transferring a Rack Using TransferĆPlus
Use the following procedure to transfer racks using TransferĆPlus. If
you are transferring to diskettes, you will be prompted for additional
diskettes, if needed. Diskettes can be formatted or, to save time, you
can use preĆformatted diskettes. Diskettes do not have to be blank.
Figure 5.22 illustrates the TransferĆPlus dialog box.
Step 1.
Select the rack(s) to be transferred from the racks list.
Step 2.
Select TransferĆPlus from the Rack menu. The
TransferĆPlus dialog box is displayed, with the selected
racks listed.
Step 3.
Enter information for the following fields. Some fields
contain default entries. If you do not change these fields,
the defaults will be used.
Source/Destination Ć If you are transferring to or from
floppy diskettes, you must also select floppy drive A or B.
If you want to transfer to or from another AutoMax library,
select More Options and then enter the drive and AutoMax
library name.
Format Ć Check this box if you want to format the diskettes
before transferring the files. You can also enter Format
Qualifiers (DOS FORMAT switches).
Rack(s) Ć The racks selected when the TransferĆPlus
command was called will be listed. You can edit this list. If
you are transferring from diskette, or from another
AutoMax library, enter the racks to be transferred.
Newer files only Ć Check this box to transfer only the files
that have more recent dates than those files (with the
same name) existing on the diskette from a previous
transfer.
Options Ć Check the desired options.
Rack configuration only Ć Transfer only the rack database
and the rack documentation file.
Object files Ć Transfer the compiled application task object
files, parameter object files, and the rack configuration
object file(s).
CrossĆreference files Ć Transfer the crossĆreference files.
Step 4.
Select Help for information about the TransferĆPlus
procedure, Cancel to return to the System Configurator
without transferring a rack, or OK to begin the transfer. You
will be prompted for diskettes as needed.
A message is displayed when the transfer is complete. You can then
transfer additional racks.
