8.3 Using the ‘TERRATEST 2.0’ Software

If the default settings have not been changed during installation, the ‘TERRATEST 2.0’ software is now
stored in the ‘PROGRAM FILES’ folder. Additionally, a shortcut to start the program will have appeared on
your desktop in form of a small TERRATEST logo on a white square.

To start the software go to START -> PROGRAMS -> TERRATEST -> TERRATEST 2.0 or simply double-click
on the TERRATEST logo on the desktop. The main screen of the ‘TERRATEST 2.0’ software will open
automatically.

The screen is divided into four areas: On the left hand side is a utility to load test data (depending on the
selection made, either from the chip card, the SD card, the USB stick, the testing computer, or already
processed test data from previous tests stored on the PC) and prepare external media for test data storage.
To do so, choose the corresponding button. Once the test data has been imported, a summary will be
displayed at the top left in the form of a list including data record number, date, time, and Evd value.

On the right hand side is a preview of the test protocol, including the settlement curves, or, if you click
on the button ‘Statistical Analysis’ on top, the chart for the statistical analysis of the test data in accordance
with the German standard TP BF-StB Part B 8.3.

There are three buttons on top of the screen: one button to display individual data records, one button for
statistical analysis, and one button to call up a Google
