8.3.7 Test Protocol of Individual Tests

The test protocol (for an example, see page 70) is divided into four areas:
Protocol heading, with general information about the test and the test instrument
Test result chart, with the recorded test results and the required Evd value
Settlement curves, with a presentation of the course of the three settlement curves, as well as a picture of
the testing point, if added
Google

®

Maps satellite picture of the GPS coordinates (where these exist)

The following data will automatically be entered in the protocol heading for each individual test: device
manufacturer, serial number, device type, data medium number, data record number, test date and time, GPS
coordinates (if GPS is in use), and comments (where these have been entered via the text input function on
the testing computer). Find out how to enter other project-specific data by referring to the chapter ‘Edit / Save
Protocol
’. This data cannot be altered / edited.

In the test result chart are listed the three recorded individual settlements in mm, the mean value of the
three individual settlements in mm, the Evd value in MN/m

2

, the discrepancy between this and the

required Evd value (entered manually beforehand), the s/v value in ms, and the required Ev2 value (entered
manually beforehand).
On the left hand side, below the test result chart, the three settlement curves are shown in different colours
(s4= red, s5= green, s6= blue). From the shape of the settlement curves, the test duration, maximum
settlement, and the course of the settlement can be deduced. If the ground has already been compacted,
then the three settlement curves should be nearly congruent.
On the right hand side of the test result chart, a picture of the testing point can be uploaded. The picture
will be saved upon saving of the test data.

If GPS coordinates are available, and if a connection to the Internet exists, a Google

®

Maps display of the

testing point will be added to the individual data record. It will feature the typical Google

®

Maps controls,

and can thus be switched between satellite and map view, or zoomed in an out, for a better presentation.

A picture of the testing point can be added to every test protocol. It will be saved together with the test data.
