8.3.2 Prepare Media

8.3.2.1 SD Card (‘TERRATEST 5000 BLU’ ONLY)

The Light Weight Deflectometer ‘TERRATEST 5000 BLU’ is supplied with an SD card, which is already
prepared for recording the test data. Other SD cards need to be prepared for saving the test data by using
the ‘TERRATEST 2.0’ software.

Only SD cards with a capacity of 2 GB can be used.

To prepare an SD card, insert the SD card into the SD card slot of the PC, or in the slot of an SD card
reader. Make sure that software and driver of the SD card slot, or the SD card reader, are correctly
installed on your PC and that the media is mounted correctly.

Click on the button ‘PREPARE MEDIA’. A folder pane will open. Select the SD card drive and confirm your
selection with ‘OK’. A warning will appear, advising that all data on the card will be deleted. Ensure that
you have selected the correct media and that you want to delete all data saved on the media.
Acknowledge the warning with ‘OK’. A progress bar on the bottom left will indicate the progress of the
formatting process. When the process is complete, you will receive the message ‘Media has successfully
been prepared for the testing computer’.

8.3.2.2 USB Stick (‘TERRATEST 4000 USB’ ONLY)

The Light Weight Deflectometer ‘TERRATEST 4000 USB’ is supplied with a USB stick, which is already prepared
for recording the test data. If you want to use other USB sticks, these must be empty. In order to use a USB stick
for saving test data, no files or folders other than those created by the testing computer of the Light Weight
Deflectometer during the test should be saved on the stick.

An SD card is being prepared for recording the test data. The bar in the bottom left corner indicates the
progress.
