Turn on vour computer. It your computer is already on, close all
applications.

When the Windows desktop appears, insert the Sony Application
Recovery CD in the CD-ROM drive. The Application Recovery utility
loads automatically.

When the Application Recovery menu appears, follow the on-screen
instructions to complete the recovery process.
Using the System Recovery Utility
(Models PCG-717E/PCG-719E Only)
^ The following instructions are for models PCG-717E/PCG-719E only. If you have model
PCG-717C or PCG-719C, see the Instructions on page 126.
You can reinstall the software titles that shipped with your computer if
they are corrupted or accidentally erased. Your System/Application
Recovery CD provides a System Recovery utility to do this. If you want to
reinstall individual applications, use the Application Recovery utility. See
"Using the Application Recovery Utility (Models PCG-717E/PCG-719E
Only)" on page 131.
The System Recovery utility contains a backup copy of the software
originally installed on your hard disk drive. It can be used only to
restore the hard disk of the Sony PC computer you purchased.
The System Recovery utility gives you two options:
□ Full Restore without Format restores all the software titles that
originally came with your computer without formatting the hard
disk.
