External unit connections

O Laser disc player (without 5.1 ch output), etc.

This unit has Dolby Pro Logic circuitry. The sound will be repro­
duced with the same powerful stereophonic effects found in

movie theaters.

O Video cassette recorder

You can playback the sound from a video cassette recorder

through this unit’s speakers or record sound from this unit onto

a video cassette.

^ Record player

Sound cannot be produced unless an phono equalizer (not in­
cluded) is connected.
A record player with a built-in phono equalizer is recommended.

Subwoofer

The included front speakers have super woofers, but by con­

necting a subwoofer, you can enhance the bass effect found on

DVDs encoded with Dolby Digital (^ page 38 for operation).

O TV with an S-VIDEO terminal

The S-VIDEO output terminal achieves a more vivid picture
than the video output terminal by separating the color and lumi­

nance signals before transmitting them to the television. (Actual

results depends on the television.)
