Troubleshooting guide

Before requesting service, make the below checks. If you can’t fix the unit as described beiow, or if something not iisted here occurs, refer to the

Common Problems

No sound.

Turn the volume up.

The speaker cables may be shorted. Turn the unit off, check and correct the connections and turn

the uniton. O, @

Sound is unfixed, reversed or
comes from one speaker only.

Check the speaker connections. @, ®

Humming heard during play.

An AC power supply cord or fluorescent light is near the cables. Keep other appliances and cords
away from this unit’s cables.

if possible in your area, turn the AC power supply cord’s plug or connector over to reverse the
plug’s polarity.

“ERROR” is displayed.

Incorrect operation performed. Read the instructions and try again.

You plugged the power supply còrd in for the first time or there was a power failure recently.

Set the time. ® ■

“F61” is dispiayed.

Check and correct the speaker cords connection.

If this does not fix the problem, there is a power supply problem. Consult the dealer.

ECO mode on but display still

lights up in standby mode.

Turn DEMO off. ®

“DTS NO AUDIO” is displayed.

This unit is unable to decode DTS signals.

“DVD U11" is displayed.

The disc is dirty. Wipe it with a soft cloth.

“DVD H is displayed.

A problem has occurred. Turn the unit off and unplug the AC power supply cord. Wait a moment
and then plug the cord in and turn on the unit again. If the unit is still not working correctly, consult
your dealer.

Listening to the radio

Noise is h^rd.

Use an outdoor antenna. ®

The stereo indicator flickers or

Sound is distorted.

Turn the TV off or separate it from the unit.

Separate the antenna from other cables and cords.

The picture on the TV disappears
or stripes appear on the screen.

The location and orientation of thè antenna are incorrect. If you are using an indoor antenna,

change to an outdoor antenna.

The TV antenna wire is too close to the unit. Separate thè antenna wire of ths TV set from the unit.

Using the cassette deck

Poor quality sound.

Recording is not possible.

Clean the heads. ®

If the erasure prevention tabs have been removed, cover the holes with adhesive tape. ®
