IMPORTANT
Make sure that the speed control is turned off before
connecting the USB cable to guarantee the Windows operating system
properly detects the USB connection to the Sentry Data Logger. Before
turning on the speed control, take special care to plug in all the sensors in
the correct slot with the correct polarity. Refer to the
section
for setup instructions. Plugging in the sensor connectors backwards will
damage the Novak Sentry Data Logger and void the
Novak is not responsible for any damages to speed control, PC and Sentry
Data Logger as a result of incorrect installation.
Upon first connection, the Windows operating system will automatically
detect the new Novak Sentry Data Logger system. It will automatically
install the hardware drivers required to operate the system. When Windows
is finished installing the new driver, it may prompt you to restart the
computer before continuing. Please restart the computer before using the
Novak Sentry Data Acquisition software application.
To establish a connection to the Novak Sentry Data Logger, plug the
included USB cable into an open USB port on the PC, and plug the USB cable into the Novak Sentry Data
Logger.
If the Novak Sentry Data Logger device is connected and the Novak
Sentry Data Acquisition software application is open, the display to the
right will appear.
After the initial loading of the device configuration setting, the display to
the right will appear. You will be able to choose from any of the 4
options. If you do not wish to select any of the options at this time, click
the Cancel button to use the other features of the application.
Download Data
Download all the data from the connected Sentry
Data Logger device one at a time.
Real-Time
This allows you to see real-time data being acquired
from the sensors while plugged into a computer
via USB.
Configure Device
Configure and calibrate the Sentry Data Logger
device.
Empty Device Memory
This will erase the memory on the Novak
Sentry Data Logger device. This may take up
to 60 seconds to complete.
