Water and Electronics Don’t Mix!

Never allow water, moisture or other foreign materials to get inside speed control, motor or data logger.
Water damage will void the

product warranty

!

Disconnect Batteries When Not In Use

Always disconnect the battery pack from the speed control when not in use to avoid short circuits and a
possible fire hazard.

Maximum 7 volts Input Voltage

Using more than 7 volts from the ESC/Servo input harness will damage the data logger and void the

product warranty

No CA Glue

Exposure to CA glue or its fumes can cause damage to internal components of the data logger and
result in premature failure.

No Motor Spray or Other Solvents

Exposure to motor spray or other solvents will damage the data logger and void

product warranty

!

Transmitter On First

Always turn the transmitter on first so that you will have control of the vehicle when you turn it on.

Insulate Wires

Always insulate exposed wiring with heat shrink tubing or electrical tape to prevent a short circuit, which
can damage the data logger and any other connected electronics.

No Reverse Voltage!

All of the sensors should plug into the data logger with black wires facing toward the outside edge.
Take special care to plug all of the sensors in the correct slot with the correct polarity. Reverse battery
polarity can damage the data logger and void

product warranty

. Disconnect the battery immediately if a

reverse connection occurs.

Disable Reverse First

The Remote Start/Stop feature is not intended to be used with a reverse-enabled speed control.

Connect USB First

Make sure that the speed control is turned off before connecting the USB cable to guarantee that the
Windows operating system will properly detect the USB connection to the Sentry Data Logger.

Disconnect Motor Wires Before Calibrating

Before starting to calibrate the input signal, please make sure the motor wires are disconnected from the
speed control. This will prevent motor damage. See the

Customize Input Signal

section for more

details.
