Letter cassettes

Two sizes of the block letters, numbers and characters can be

sewn. Ths stsndsrd setting is 6 niin. Sy pressing the push*
button for the stitch width prior to pressing the Q button,
the height of the letters wiU be reduced to 4 mm.

The alteration in the height of the letters will remain until

you re-set by pressing the push-button.

When your first word is programmed, put in a space (—) by

pressing the button furthest to the right twice and continue with
the next word.

When all the required words are programmed you can start

sewing immediately. Just press the foot control. The machine
will sew all the letters in succession, including the spaces.

If you wish the machine to fasten the thread ends after

completing each letter, press the finishing button Q before
starting to sew. You can now trim the threads between the
letters or in the space between the words without rurming the
risk of pulling the threads.

A hint: If you plan to sew a large number of words, utilizing a

large part of the programming capacity, it may be of assistance
to write the words down and number the letters.

When the whole sentence is programmed, check that there

are no errors, by pressing the button under PROG/REP and
then the button furthest to the left, ' Q , and check that the
correct lights appear for each number in the window.

If you discover that a letter must be changed, press PROG/

REP so that the light under PROG goes on. The machine will
then return to the first letter. Advance by pressing the Q i
button until you reach the letter to be changed. Programe in the
correct letter and continue checking the remainder. When the
whole sentence is checked, you can start sewing.

If, however, a symbol has been omitted, e.g. a space, the rest

of the sentence must be re-programmed. Press PROG/REP and
advance to the missing space by pressing the Q button.
Programe in the space in its correct place and re-programe the
rest of the sentence.

Should you wish to sew one or more words on one line, and

then change lines, press the button furthest to the right, Q ,
once when you wish to change lines. Don’t forget then to press
the Q button after programming ©

When you start sewing, the machine will fasten the threads

and stop where you have programmed in © . You can then
move the fabric and continue sewing.
