8.1.5.5 IPMC SPI Interfaces
The IPMC can access CPLD and FPGA registers via SPI transactions. In the case of a Glue FPGA
register access the signals are routed thru the CPLD. In the other case of a CPLD register access
the CPLD internal IPMC SPI slave responds to such an IPMC SPI access. See the following figure.
8.1.5.5.1 Forwarding IPMC SPI Interface Signals to the Glue Logic FPGA SPI Interface
The IPMC uses this path to access Glue Logic FPGA registers with the chip select
H8S_SPI_FPGA_SS_ asserted. In this case the CPLD forwards the SPI signals to the FPGA SPI
interface.
8.1.5.6 FPGA SPI Interface
The FPGA SPI interface acts as a slave interface. The SPP can access CPLD registers via the SPI
interface.
