6-Button Keypad

The keypad on the front panel contains six individual key switches

with a positive “click” action for tactile feedback.

The keypad has an auto-repeat feature. Holding a key for more than 1 second

repeats the key action automatically, at the rate of 15 keystrokes per second. This

feature is useful when editing a numeric field with many digits, such as frequency or

data rate.

The function of these keys, and their reference throughout this chapter, is as follows:

ENTER

Use this key to select a displayed function or to execute a modem

configuration change.

CLEAR

Use this key to back out of a selection or to cancel a configuration

change that has yet to be executed using ENTER. Pressing CLEAR

generally returns the display to the previous selection.

(Left, Right)

Use these arrow keys to move to the next selection or to move the

cursor position.

▲ ▼

(Up, Down)

Use these arrow keys to edit the configuration data (numbers) or

operational selection at the current cursor position.
