Set the paper ring on the base of the investment ring and check for correct fit. Use the ring stabilizer to
stabilize the paper ring.
Mix IPS Empress 2 Special Investment material or IPS Empress 2 Speed Investment material under vacuum,
according to the manufacturer's instructions. Check the vacuum. Please refer to the instructions
accompanying the IPS Empress 2 Special Investment material or IPS Empress 2 Speed Investment material
for the accurate mixing ratio.
Fill the paper ring up to slightly below the stabilizing ring.
Warning:
The investment material contains quartz powder. Avoid the
inhalation of dust.
– Large investment ring:
Up to max. 1.3 g wax weight requires one large ingot
– Small investment ring:
Up to max. 0.5 g wax weight requires one small ingot
Remove the protective tape from the 2-in-1 IPS Empress Paper Ring. Form a cylinder exactly along the
marked line and press the two ends together.
Investing
Investing is carried out with the IPS Empress 2 Special
Investment material or IPS Empress 2 Speed Investment
material. We recommend the following procedure to
determine the accurate wax weight:
1. Weigh the ring base (seal the opening of the ring base with
wax).
2. Position the objects to be pressed on the ring base and
attach them with wax. Weigh again.
3. The difference between the two values is the weight of the
wax used.

Special Investment material or IPS Empress 2 Speed
Investment material for the working parameters in
conjunction with the staining technique and the
IPS Empress 2 layering technique.
Do not use a debubblizer.
Please observe the Instructions for Use of the
IPS Empress 2 Special Investment material or IPS Empress 2
Speed Investment material.
Note: The IPS Empress 2 Special Investment material and
the IPS Empress 2 Speed Investment material must not
be used with the IPS Empress layering technique (press
temperature 1180 °C/2156 °F).
Observe the stipulated mixing time.
Check the correct fit of the paper ring around the ring base and
the ring gauge.
