Round the top edges of the support pin (left) to prevent the object from sticking to the pin. Pins whose top
edges have not been rounded (right) increase the risk of objects sticking to them. Another possibility to
reduce this risk is to cover the pins with platinum foil. This method produces the same effect as the
rounding of edges.

Additionally, prevent crown margins from sticking to the pin.

Make sure that the firing trays are clean to
prevent the framework from sticking to the tray.
Use a firing pillow, if necessary.

The IPS Eris for E2 build-up liquid can be diluted
with distilled water, if necessary.

When working with a furnace from another
manufacturer, these parameters have to be
adjusted accordingly.

Do not use support pins made of ceramic.

up liquid.

IPS Empress 2 framework: min. 0.8 mm

Dentin: cervical: 0.6 mm; incisal: 0.4 mm

Incisal cervical: 0.1 mm; incisal: 0.3 mm

Dentin layering is performed in the usual manner….
