Colour coding of the Empress System
In order to ensure clear differentiation of the
various materials of the IPS Empress System,
the products are now equipped with the
following labels and colour codes.
IPS Empress staining technique
All the IPS Empress staining technique
products feature light-blue labels.
Labels for products, such as the IPS Empress ingots for the staining technique, the IPS Empress Correction
powder, and IPS Empress Add-On 770°C/1418°F feature a black bar as a neutral colour designation.
Labels for products that demonstrate higher opacity feature a salmon-coloured bar, e.g. IPS Empress ingots
for the layering technique, IPS Empress layering technique dentin materials, and IPS Empress layering
technique Mamelon materials.
Labels for products that demonstrate higher translucency feature a blue bar, e.g. IPS Empress layering
technique incisal materials and IPS Empress layering technique transparent materials.
