13–Using the Effects

The DR-1 has built-in effects that can be applied to

the input signal during recording and practice.

Briefly press the

EFFECT

key to turn the effects

ON and OFF. When ON, the effect last set on the

Effect Screen becomes active, and the

icon

appears as light letters on a dark background at

the bottom right of the Home Screen. (The default

setting is

RevHall

.)

Press and hold the

FX

key to open the Effect Screen.

As the illustration above shows, the Effect Screen has

three items that can be set. They are described at right.
Although it appears different from other setting

screens, operation is the same.
1 Use the

wheel

to select the desired item and press

the

¥/π

key to access that item’s settings.

2 Use the wheel to set the desired value.
3 Press the

µ

key when you are done making the

setting to return to item selection status.

PRESET
See the Effects Preset List on page 38 for details about

the preset effects.

LEVEL knob
Use this to change the output level of the preset effect

selected in the

PRESET

item. Select the

LEVEL

knob

icon and press the

¥/π

key to select the numerical

value in the upper part of the icon. The level can be

set to values between 0 and 100.

DEPTH knob
This adjusts the character of the selected preset. Select

the

DEPTH

knob icon and press the

¥/π

key to select

the numerical value in the upper part of the icon. Use

the wheel to

set the value.

Press the

STOP/HOME

key (or press and hold the

EFFECT

key) to return to the Home Screen.
