4. Insert the originals into the ADF faceup and top-edge first, then slide the edge guides against the
originals, but not too tightly.
Note: Do not load originals above the arrow mark on the inside of the ADF edge guides. Do not load
additional originals during scanning.

Length: 4.7 inches (120 mm) to 100 inches (2540 mm)
Weight Larger than A6 size: 35 to 128 g/m 2
A6 or smaller size: 60 to 190 g/m 2
Paper type Plain paper, high-quality paper, or recycled paper
Caution: Load the following types of originals on the scanner glass instead of the ADF, or they may be
damaged or may damage the scanner:
• Photos
• Booklets
• Non-paper originals, such as fabric or metal foil
