Appendix K: Recording in MPEG-4/ MJPEG Format
The DVR-4TN/ 8TN/ 16TN/ 16TS/ 16TT series DVR provides Dual-Codec function that
allows users to select MPEG-4 or MJPEG compression for their specific applications.
To choose recording in MPEG-4 format or MJPEG format, go to <Record Setup> Æ
<Record Mode>, and select from the options.
You can choose from <720×480@30PPS>, <720×240@60PPS>, <360×240@120PPS>,
<720×480@30JPG>, <720×240@60JPG> and <360×240@120JPG> in NTSC; and
<720×576@25PPS>, <720×288@50PPS>, <360×288@100PPS>, <720×576@25JPG>,
<720×288@50JPG>, <360×288@100JPG> in PAL.
If you choose the item with “PPS” as the last 3 letters, then you choose to record in MPEG-4
compression; if you choose the item with “JPG” as the last 3 letters, then you choose to
record in MJPEG compression.
For example, if you choose <720×240@60JPG>, then you choose to record in MJPEG
compression; or, if you choose <720×240@60PPS>, then you choose to record in MPEG-4
compression.
