To establish a secure HTTPS connection to the service processor, you must upload an
SSL certificate and a private key into the service processor. These two together help
provide a secure connection to the correct server when using HTTPS. Ensure that the
uploaded SSL certificate and private key match. If they do not match, secure access
may not work properly.

11.5.1

Before You Begin

Log in to the service processor (SP) as Administrator to reach the ILOM web GUI.
Only accounts with Administrator privileges are enabled to upload an SSL
certificate.

11.5.2

What to Do

1. From the Configuration tab, System Management Access, then SSL Certificate.

The SSL Certificate Upload page appears.

2. Type the file name of the new SSL certificate or click the Browse button to search

for a new SSL certificate.

The file name has a .pem file extension. The service processor does not support pass-
phrase encrypted certificates.

3. Click the Upload button to obtain the selected SSL certificate.

The SSL Certificate Upload Status dialog appears.
