How to Modify an SP User Account

This section explains how to modify a user account for the ILOM Service Processor.
A user account is a record of essential user information that is stored on the service
processor.

13.2.1

User Roles and Privileges

Each user account consists of a user name, a role, and privileges. A user can have
one of these roles:

Administrator

- Enables access to all service processor features, functions, and

commands.

Operator

- Enables limited access to service processor features, functions, and

commands.

The Administrator assigns the user name and user role to a user account. The
Administrator also assigns the network and serial privileges to the user account.

Network privileges - Enable remote access privileges, either Administrator or
Operator.

Serial privileges - Enable local privileges, either Administrator or Operator.

An Operator is unable to change his assigned role or privileges.

13.2.2
