76.2 mm (3 in.)

Thickness

The thickness of all forms should be a minimum of 0.08 mm (0.003
in.) and a maximum of 0.64 mm (0.025 in.).

Acceptable print quality will be provided on up to four-part forms. Up
to six-part forms can be used; however, for best feeding and
stacking, a maximum of four parts is recommended. If you use
forms having more than four parts, you should test them for forms
handling, print registration, and print quality.

Weight

Minimum weight for single-part forms is 56 g/m (15 lb). Maximum
weight for single-part forms is 150 g/m (40 lb). The best range is
60 to 90 g/m (16 to 24 lb). Paper weights outside the functional
range should be tested by the user. For multiple-part forms, the
paper weight of individual sheets can be as low as 45 g/m (12 lb).
Individual sheets below this limit should be tested by the user.

Performance Considerations

For optimum performance, printing should be restricted to 6.4 mm
(0.25 in.) from all edges, holes, or folds on the forms.

Forms are available from IBM or any forms supplier.
