Serial Attachment (Models 4I3 and 5I3)

The 4230 attaches to a host or controller by one of two serial

mounted directly on the adapter card allows attachment to either

interface.

ft) in length with transmission rates up to 19.2 Kbps.

The RS-422A interface uses a serial cable up to 1219 m (4,000 ft) in

length with transmission rates up to 38.4 Kbps.
